The History of Comp-U-Help |
Comp-U-Help was founded in May of 1992, by Joshua Hazan. Initially providing general consumer electronics support for residential customers in Josh's neighborhood, Comp-U-Help soon focused on Personal Computer (PC) Support and began consulting to commercial accounts as early as November 1992, with Josh hiring local high school kids.
During Comp-U-Help's early development Josh was the sole employee relying on subcontractors when projects required additional resources or were outside of his personal expertise. The first additional full-time employee was hired in 1994.
With the addition of commercial customers, PC Support immediately evolved into more sophisticated consultation and support of Servers & Networks. During the early development of the commercial practice, Comp-U-Help established itself with many automotive dealerships due in part to its success with the members of the Suntrup Automotive Group. Even as the marketplace and Comp-U-Help matured, causing Comp-U-Help to redirect its energies away from automotive dealerships, the relationship with the Suntrup Automotive Group continues today.
Comp-U-Help was proud to announce its expansion to Austin, TX on June 1st, 2006.
Related Companies: Recently Josh formed a new partnership, Da Vinci Design, which provides web development and graphic design services. One of the results of this partnership is Admit One V.I.P. (www.AdmitOneVIP.com), an emerging on-line resource for the entertainment industry and consumers.
