Even for today's fast-paced competitive economy, the marketplace for IT Services is even more fast-paced and competitive. For this reason and because we don't make money peddling computer hardware, software or other products, Comp-U-Help's service has to be exceptional.  It's what we do!

Expertise:
We emphasize real-world experience and problem solving skills over paper certifications.  We've found that a verifiable track-record is preferable to manufacturer sponsored certifications that over time can become limitations to how a technician approaches problem solving.  Relying only upon one source of information, which in the case of computer certifications is usually the manufacturer, confines the consultant to whatever “the book” says.  Now, to be clear, we also emphasize on-going training and education, often from manufacturers but also from colleges and other sources.  The ideal is a mix of formal training and real-world results.

Expectations:
Today's business computer networks are more complex than ever before.  With multiple technologies, manufacturers, service providers, software publishers etc., all having a hand in the final result, establishing realistic expectations for ourselves and customers is critical to the Quality of the service we provide.  When blessed with the benefits of time, we do a thorough Infrastructure Assessment to not only familiarize ourselves with the environment but to also identify issues that need to be addressed.  The more we can learn about an environment upfront, the better we will be able to predict how that environment will react in a given situation and what resources we need to have available.  Both our sales and technical staff regularly emphasize prevention and pre-emption to our customers and work hard to help them understand that the value to them is fewer problems that take less time to resolve.  By not only setting clear expectations, but illustrating the reasons for them, we're able maintain high quality results for our customers.

Communication:
Small business owners and managers are experts in their business and not necessarily in computer technology.  That's not to say they don't know exactly how the computers are supposed to work in their business.  They just don't have time to develop the specific knowledge and vocabulary unique to IT.  Because of this, Comp-U-Help emphasizes straight-forward, plain-English communication by our consultants.
